Today Let's Talk About - "Salt & Storm" by Kendall Kulper

I recently found this book in my little home library that I completely forgot I had, and I wanted to talk about it.

I am only a few chapters in, but it already has me hooked! At first, I did not realize that the story was based in the 19th century (I think anyway) because it was written in a way that still seemed relatable to the 21st century. It is about a family of witches that have lived on this island for generations and sailors and the people of the island went to them for good fortune and protection. The story follows the Grandmother (who is the current island witch), the Mother (who wants nothing to do with witchcraft), and the Granddaughter (who, up until she turned 12, lived and practiced witchcraft with her Grandmother but then was suddenly taken away by her Mother to go live with the mother’s new rich husband and was forbidden to ever see her grandmother again and was not allowed to practice witchcraft).

The fact that this book is witchy, and based on an island by the sea which made me incredibly happy! I am a water baby, I love it!

I will post a final review of the book once I am done, but so far, I am in LOVE! I really do recommend reading this book!
